Korea Dasan Port to Xiamen Port China opens regular container shipping route
According to the Yonhap News Agency, the South Korean government of Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do reported on June 27 that China Xinhaifeng Container Transport Co., Ltd. (SITC), which operates the China-Southeast Asia route, has added the Xiamen-Seosan route to the existing routes. The route passes through ports including Shanghai, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh, Laem Chabang, Thailand, Jakarta, Indonesia, etc., and it is a regular container route that calls at Ruishan Port every Monday. Ruishan City expects that after opening the Xiamen route, Dashan Port will attract more than 8,000 TEU container cargo each year. Ruishan City also plans to strengthen cooperation with cargo owners and shipping companies to actively attract export companies to use Dashan Port. In order to facilitate the import and export of containers, container repair and cleaning related service companies will also be attracted to Dashan Port. Mayor Lee Wanjo of Seosan City said that Seosan Dasan Port is the closest to China among the 31 trading ports in South Korea. Ruishan City will establish Dashan Port as a "new center of the Yellow Sea Circle" by opening international passenger liner routes, attracting container cargo, and cultivating the marine leisure sports industry.
