China-Thailand Railway Project Starts at the End of the Year
Thai Minister of Commerce Chachai Sari Kaye told reporters recently that Thailand and China have reached a number of consensuses on the feasibility and financing framework of railway cooperation projects. The cooperation project will start at the end of this year with a construction period of about three years. In an exclusive interview with reporters on the 14th, Sari Kaye said that in addition to railway cooperation projects, Thailand will also actively participate in other projects involving the "Belt and Road" and work with China to strengthen the docking of highways, aviation, ports and other areas in order to improve The level of infrastructure construction in Thailand.
At the end of 2014, Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang and Thai Prime Minister Bayu witnessed the signing of the "Memorandum of Understanding on China-Thailand Railway Cooperation" and started the process of railway cooperation between the two countries. China-Thailand railway cooperation includes 4 routes: Bangkok-Cangui, Cangui-Matab, Cangui-Nakhon Ratchasima and Nakhon Ratchasima-Nong Khai.
